This collection of twelve short stories gives a vivid image of an India which is at the same time very authentic and not commonly described. Everyday life in villages or in the cities where people coming from the country have to find their way and meet rebuke and despise. Abdul Bismillah has himself met these peculiar characters and their misfortunes sound genuine and very touching.
